Santa Ramona PD Media/Press Release 3/25/2019 "Arrest made in connection Armed Robbery at Virtuous Vice"

In the early hours of Monday March 25th 19. A SRPD Officer on patrol in the Imperial Plaza Mall. Spotted a woman known to him in the Virtuous Vice Store. This woman was wanted by SRPD who had a warrant for her arrest in connection with the Armed Robbery in the same store on March 8th 19. The Officer confirmed the woman identity and placed her under arrest. The woman was compliant throughout. She was charged with one charge of Aggravated Assault, Brandishing of a Firearm and Robbery. The case was passed over to court on April 7th.

No further information will be released by the Santa Ramona Police Department at this time.

3/31/2019 "Homicide on Rockery Street"

On Sunday March 31st 19, at approximately 2.15pm, in the afternoon. A woman with a Russian accent called in about a body on a porch.

SPRD Officers were dispatched to the scene found a body had been dumped on an old couch outside 51 Rockery Street, evidence was collected. The Medical Examiner arrived later and took the body to the morgue. Witnesses have subsequently been questioned.

The deceased has been named as Jenni Jones and it is believed she may of been a street worker in the area. This is a current ongoing investigation and SRPD are keen to trace the original caller and speak to anyone who might have any information on either Jenni Jones or her movements on and March 31st.

Anyone who has any information are urged to call SRPD on their non-emergency number as soon as possible. No further information will be released by the Santa Ramona Police Department at this time.

4/3/2019 "Homicide on Redwood Trails"

On Wednesday April 3rd 19, at approximately 6pm, in the evening. A woman claiming her name was 'Sam' called 911 to report a body that had been hung from the footbridge on the Redwood Trails.

SPRD Officers were dispatched and worked through the night to remove the body and collect evidence. The condition of the body and the amount of evidence made this task particularly arduous. The Medical Examiner arrived in the early hours of the morning and took the body to the morgue. The deceased has been named as Jennifer Brown and it is believed she may of been a street worker in the area.

This is a current ongoing investigation and SRPD are keen to trace the original caller who identified herself as 'Sam' and speak to anyone who might have any information on either Jennifer Brown or her movements on and April 4th.

4/7/19 "Possession of Controlled Substances"

During the Charity Cook Off Event on Old High Street on the afternoon of Sunday April 7th 19 an on duty SRPD Officer arrested one of the stall owners, who was selling drinks containing Psilocybin Mushrooms to the public.

Several of the Psilocybin Mushrooms were on display in plain sight on the stall. The stall owner tried to hide them when the Officer who had been assisting with the SRPD's own stall and was having a walk around, came over. The Officer saw the Mushrooms and questioned the male about them.

After trying to bribe the Officer the man was arrested on charges of being in Possession of a Controlled Substance with the intent to sell which is a Felony. Whilst attempting to detain the individual, the male ate of the mushrooms and drank a cup of the drink in the full view of the SRPD Officer and subsequently displayed signs of intoxication. He was therefore also charged with being Under the influence of a Controlled Substance. Another SRPD Officer who was present at the fair came over and took control of the evidence.

Later while being searched in the booking room. The male was found to be carrying a 9" bladed knife, the length of which is considered a Dangerous weapon in SRV and several ounces of weed, the amount of which is illegal. He was therefore also charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon and being in Possession of Narcotics. He was released on bail the following morning.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 4/9/19 "Public Intoxication"

On Tuesday April 9th 19, at approximately 10.30pm, in the evening. An SRPD Officer on patrol saw a man fall over near City Hall. The Officer went over to offer assistance and found the male to be smelling heavily of alcohol and Marijuana. The Officer attempted to help him as ask him some questions the male refused to co-operate, so he was cuffed and detained for his own safety by the SRPD Officer.

He was then taken to SRPD jail where he continued to be uncooperative, the Officer then issued him a citation and gave him a phone call before he was placed in a cell overnight to sober up.

He was released the following morning.
