Weekly Police Report

1/4/2019                      "Vehicle Pursuit"

     On Thursday, January 3, 2019, officers with the SRPD observed a sports car, pink in color, driving on Shady St. The vehicle's high rate of speed was recorded by the officer's radar detector, at which point the officers tailed the vehicle and activated their lights and sirens.

     The suspect failed to yield and lead officers on a lengthy pursuit.

Spike strips were successfully deployed along Imperial Blvd., at which point the vehicle lost control and the driver was ejected from the vehicle. EMS arrived on scene and transported the suspect back to SRGH and is in stable condition.

     The driver was arrested for Grand Theft Auto, Driving Under the Influence, and Fleeing & Eluding and was released on Bail

1/4/2019                        "Eggings"

     On Monday, December 10, 2018, officers with the SRPD responded to a vandalism incident that took place at City Hall. Eggs were found to be thrown at the South side of the building.

Upon reviewing CCTV footage, the suspect was identified and a warrant was issued for their arrest. 

     On Tuesday, January 1, 2019, the suspect assaulted a SRPD officer at City Hall by throwing eggs at him. The suspect lead the officer on a foot pursuit and was arrested without further incident.

The suspect has been charged with Vandalism, Battery of a Law Enforcement Officer, and Resisting Arrest and was released on Bail

1/5/2019                        "Help Wanted: B&E"

     The Santa Ramona Police Department is requesting assistance in identifying the suspect(s) in a Breaking and Entering case. 

On Monday, December 31, 2018, officers with the SRPD responded to a suspected breaking and entering at the El Toro Mexican Restaurant. 

     The crime was committed earlier that day between the hours of 12am and 5am.  No description of the suspect has been released.
